Management of Transcorp Hilton Abuja has rejected claims that it canceled a reservation for a political gathering, saying that the accusation is incorrect and misleading.
Acting General Manager Mohamed Said Khalil said in a statement on Thursday that there was never a confirmed booking for such an event, thus any accusation of cancelation is false.
The hotel made it clear that even if someone asked about throwing an event there on Easter Monday, they couldn’t do it because there wasn’t enough space at the moment.
The statement claimed, “As a result, no booking was made at any point,” which goes against reports that said a last-minute cancellation happened.
Khalil called the story “false, malicious, and completely made up,” and told people to ignore the false information.
The hotel said again that it is committed to being open and professional, and that the claims do not reflect how it usually does business or its rules.
