The Honourable Minister of Defence, Gen. Christopher Gwabin Musa (rtd) OFR, has told graduates of the Air Force Institute of Technology (AFIT) to use new ideas and technology to make Nigeria’s defense and security sector better in the future. During the institute’s 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Combined Convocation Ceremony in Kaduna, where degrees, diplomas, and special prizes were given out, the Minister made this call.
Jeff Amaka Promise, the Principal Superintendent of Press, spoke on behalf of the Director of Information and Public Relations. He quoted the Minister as saying that education and technological innovation are very important for the future of Nigeria’s defense and security sectors. Gen. Musa praised the graduates for their hard work and told them to keep being disciplined, professional, and dedicated as they start their professions. Gen. Musa remarked, “The future of our country’s technological progress is in your hands. Your knowledge and skills are important for the safety and growth of our country.”
The Permanent Secretary, Mr. Richard Pheelangwah, spoke for Gen. Musa. He said that AFIT, which is known for its cutting-edge research and excellent training programs, is still producing a generation of highly skilled people who help Nigeria’s defense capability grow.
Air Vice Marshal Adeniran Ademuwagun, the Commandant of the Institute, wished the graduates well as they began a new chapter in their careers. He hoped that they would continue to serve the country with honesty and determination. At the convocation ceremony, distinguished graduates received degrees and honors.
