Numerous notable Nigerian individuals have expressed their condolences to Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, the mother of former Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasiru El-Rufai, who died on Friday in Cairo, Egypt.
The funeral, conducted in Abuja on Sunday, drew numerous dignitaries, including former Vice President Atiku Abubakar, National Security Adviser Nuhu Ribadu, Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna State, Governor Babagana Zulum of Borno State, Governor Abdullahi Bago of Niger State, and former Anambra State Governor Peter Obi.
Attendees included business billionaire Aliko Dangote, Senator Aminu Tambuwal, and former Minister Isa Patanmi. The funeral prayers were performed according to Islamic customs, after which Hajiya Umma El-Rufai was interred at Gudu Cemetery in Abuja.
Atiku Abubakar, present at the funeral, sent his condolences to the grieving family. “I joined family, friends, and associates in lamenting the passing of Hajiya Umma El-Rufai, offering prayers for her eternal repose and solace for the grieving family,” he stated in a social media post.
