Cristiano Ronaldo Jr., Cristiano Ronaldo’s oldest son, has trained with Real Madrid’s academy, which makes people think he would move soon.
According to Athletic’s report, the 15-year-old practiced with the club’s under-16 team earlier this week.
Is he going to join the well-known La Fabrica? We don’t know yet.
Ronaldo Jr. is now with Al Nassr’s young team in Saudi Arabia, where his father moved in 2022.
But moving to Madrid would be a big deal. This is the same club where Cristiano Ronaldo became a world-famous player by scoring 450 goals in 438 games and winning several championships.
In many ways, the young forward has already followed in his father’s footsteps. Before relocating to Saudi Arabia, he played for the youth teams of Manchester United and Juventus. Real Madrid might now be a part of his story again.
He plays for Portugal at the international level, even though he was born in the United States. He played for the under-15 team for the first time in May 2025 against Japan. Since then, he has moved up to the under-17 level.
He has also done well with the youth teams in Portugal. In the final of the Vlatko Markovic Tournament in 2025, he scored two goals to assist his team win the title. Portugal later won another tournament for players under 16 in Turkey, beating England in the final. They won the Algarve International Tournament in early 2026 by winning every game, with Ronaldo Jr. helping along the way.
He plays as a forward or winger, just as his dad did when he was younger, and he commonly wears the number 7 shirt.
Right now, it’s only a training session, but it’s already gotten some notice. If things keep going the way they are, supporters might soon witness another Ronaldo in a Real Madrid shirt.
Cristiano Ronaldo, his father, is currently in rehab after he hurt his hamstring during the international break. He will be ready to get back to work after the break, but he will be sad to miss the friendly games for his beloved Portugal.
There aren’t many good father-son stories in sports, but can the Ronaldo family alter that? We shall have to wait and see.
