Yesterday, the Lagos State Fire and Rescue Service saved an 84-year-old man who fell down a deep well in Aboru, which is in the Agbado Oke-Odo Local Council Development Area (LCDA) of the state.
Around 10:09 a.m., the agency got a call for help about a rescue at No. 35A, Fadeyemi Street, Pipeline, Aboru.
The Nation said that rescue workers and people from the Abesan Fire Station were sent to the area right away and got there at 10:20 a.m.
Margaret Adeseye, the controller general, said that the victim was pulled out of a well that was thought to be about 140 feet deep.
She said, “Preliminary observations suggest a suspected case of attempted suicide, as the well was well protected and securely covered.”
She said that the rescue crew was able to save the victim and then provide them to their family members for more care. There will be more research into what caused the event.
The program also told people to get aid and report emergencies through the right channels when they were in trouble.
