According to a monitor, the internet shutdown in Iran has continued for over 3.5 days, which activists believe hides a crackdown that they claim has murdered hundreds.
Monitor Netblocks reported that the countrywide internet blackout in Iran has lasted more than eighty-four hours as the country begins a new day. They suggested that shortwave radio, connecting to cell reception at borders, Starlink, and satellite phones could be ways to get around the blackout.
Friday saw the return of Iranians to the streets for fresh demonstrations, the largest such gathering against the Islamic Republic in almost three years, as AFP reports that authorities had imposed an internet blackout as part of a crackdown that had killed dozens.
