Shehu Mohammed, mni, the Corps Marshal of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), has praised the Corps’ officers and men for their extraordinary bravery, professionalism, and tenacity during the nationwide Christmas travel period.
According to a statement released by the Assistant Corps Marshal, Corps Public Education Officer, Olusegun Ogungbemide mni, FISPON anipr, the Corps Marshal described the performance of FRSC personnel as exceptional and historic in his address to staff. He noted that their strategic interventions and unwavering dedication were crucial in clearing major traffic bottlenecks, including the infamously congested Lokoja axis and other crucial corridors across the country.
The Corps Marshal asserts that the Corps’ preparedness and ability to protect lives, even in the most trying situations, is demonstrated by the FRSC personnel’s ability to handle severe traffic pressure, long work hours, inclement weather, and high vehicle volumes while upholding discipline and professionalism.
Employees also went above and beyond the call of duty. When Nigerians needed them most, they stood their ground, put forth endless effort, and produced results. Their bravery, perseverance, and professionalism throughout the Christmas travels serve as another evidence of FRSC’s dedication to smooth mobility and safer roadways.
As anticipated, he emphasized that the Corps’ increasing operational efficiency, better coordination, and strong leadership at all levels are all reflected in the smooth management of traffic flow throughout the holiday.
The head of the FRSC also praised the sacrifices made by officers who continued to serve while others celebrated with their families, calling such commitment the real test of patriotism and service.
As traffic volume continues to rise in anticipation of the New Year’s celebrations, the Corps Marshal asked all personnel to maintain the momentum, stay alert, and follow the Corps’ basic values.
