According to author Charles Omole, there are five cabal groups in President Bola Tinubu’s administration. Among them are the president’s son, Seyi Tinubu, FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, and the president’s chief of staff, Femi Gbajabiamila.
This was stated yesterday by Omole, the author of “From Soldier to Statesman – The Legacy of Muhammadu Buhari.”
The president will constantly be surrounded by people. However, he stated on Channels Television last night that “systems must be put in place to avoid state capture or presidential capture because, for example, the current government has, from what I can see, at least five cabals within the presidency.”
The intriguing part is that, according to my own understanding, the president himself leads one of the cabals.
Thus, there are at least five groupings in the current administration. Femi Gbajabiamila is in charge of the Chief of Staff group. And by that, I don’t mean just him; there are others in that group as well, such as National Security Advisor (NSA) Nuhu Ribadu and FCT Minister Nyesom Wike.
Second, there is Seyi Tinubu’s gang, which consists of people he assisted in obtaining government jobs and other things. Naturally, you also have Remi Tinubu, the First Lady’s group.
A few days after the book was unveiled in Abuja, Omole gave a speech.
Regarding the prior president, the author said that the cabals in that administration altered Buhari’s health policy.
Buhari claimed that although he enjoyed reading newspapers, there were rumors that the cabal had fabricated a version of them with stories they wanted the former president to read.
From 2015 until 2023, former President Buhari served Nigeria as a democratically elected leader.
The lawmaker from Katsina passed away in London on July 13 at the age of 82.
