The Major League Soccer club Inter Miami announced today that former Uruguayan striker Luis Suarez has committed to playing for them next season.
Joining Lionel Messi’s squad in 2024, Suarez helped lead the club to the 2025 MLS Cup and Eastern Conference title. He will turn 39 in January.
The attacker has a European trophy cabinet that includes titles from Barcelona, Liverpool, and Atletico Madrid, as well as the Champions League, La Liga, and the League Cup.
“Suarez recently concluded the historic 2025 season for what was his second year at the club,” Inter Miami announced, adding that Suarez has signed a new deal.
“The striker’s leadership and extensive experience were pivotal in helping Inter Miami win the MLS Cup and the Eastern Conference Championship, securing their third and fourth titles, respectively…” also achieved great success on the global scene, making history by advancing to the round of 16 at the redesigned 2025 FIFA Club World Cup and the 2025 Concacaf Champions Cup semifinals.
With a total of 50 appearances in all competitions in 2025, Suarez scored 17 goals and assisted on 17 more, for a total of 34 goals contributed, it said.
