Yinka Ayefele, a gospel singer and music business owner, says he still thinks he will walk again even though a car accident left him unable to stand.
Ayefele conveyed this belief in a video he posted on Instagram yesterday. In the video, he talked to his triplets and told them why he can’t walk.
He told Saturday Guardian that the event happened on December 12, 1997, during the Christmas season.
He said that he was driving when the accident happened.
He said that the road was slick, which made him lose control of his car.
Ayefele said the automobile rolled over six times before coming to rest in a thicket and a deep pit.
The broadcaster had high hopes for recovery, even if the event changed their life.
“I still think I’m going to walk,” he assured his triplet.
He also told them not to worry and that he conducts workouts every day because he thinks he will be able to stand and walk again.
Ayefele has continued to work in music and broadcasting since the disaster. He now runs a number of radio stations across the country.
Ayefele added in another interview that being the father of triplets is no longer hard for him.
The artist, who had triplets in 2019 after waiting for many years, claimed that being a parent has gotten easier with time.
“It was hard then because I didn’t have any experience before that. Having triplets isn’t that big of a deal. They are fun to hang out with, and I’ve been having a good time with them. I think I can handle them, even if they are four or five. “It’s not hard anymore,” he added.
Ayefele didn’t want to talk about the recent attack on his Ibadan-based radio station, Fresh FM.
“I don’t want to talk about it.” It’s not something to be happy about or talk about. I simply want the police to keep looking into it and find out what really happened. He said, “The most important thing is to thank God that no one died.”
Ayefele mentioned that right now he is more focused on growing his radio stations than on putting out new music.
“I don’t have any music projects going on right now. I’m only doing videos for some of the songs from my last album. Also, I’m busy with my radio stations in Lagos and Akure. He also remarked, “I just started Urban FM in Ibadan.”
He also said that the goal of the expansion is to create jobs.
“It’s all about giving young people a way to work.” Ayefele remarked, “That’s why I added Akure, Ado Ekiti, Osogbo, and Ogun states.”
