Victor Fajemirokun, the late officer of the Federal Road Safety Corps, Lasisi Funmilayo’s boyfriend, and her daughter Sewa have talked about why he led the dead woman to her death at the hands of some herbalists in Osun State.
The PUNCH says that today, at the Osun State Police Command headquarters in Osogbo, Fajemirokun, who is 40 years old, was shown off with two herbalists, Gboyega Daramola and Sunday James.
The businessman from Osogbo said he tricked the dead person into coming from Ogun to Ijebu-Jesa in Osun State. A Muslim preacher had told him that Funmilayo had used his glory through spiritual manipulation.
Funmilayo, a 39-year-old senior officer with the Federal Road Safety Corps, and her daughter, Sewa Lasisi, went missing in Ogun State. They were found dead with a body part cut off in what is thought to be a ritual killing at a suspected herbalist’s cave in Osun.
Funmilayo, 39, and her daughter were reported missing on Sunday morning, November 2, when they left their home at the Obasanjo Hilltop Estate in Oke-Mosan, Abeokuta, and never came back.
Fajemirokun informed reporters that a religious leader told him he would not be successful as long as Funmilayo was alive.
Fajemirokun, who informed his wife in Osogbo that he was heading to Ikoyi, Osun State, for prayer, acknowledged that he invited Funmilayo from Ogun to Osun because he wanted to do some spiritual cleansing to release himself from the deceased’s spiritual influence.
Fajemirokun remarked, “I met a guy named Gboyega Daramola on TikTok.” Funmilayo and I agreed to go meet him for spiritual cleaning. When this man (Gboyega) gave a spiritual reading for me, he indicated that Fumilayo was the one who was making things go wrong for me. He told me to come with her.
“I went there with Funmilayo to his house in Ijebu-Ijesa.” The man told Funmilayo that she needed to undergo some rites and commanded three men to take her to the jungle to complete them. We killed her in the bush. The girl came with us to the bush.
“I ran to a mountain in Ikoyi after I killed them. From there, I went to Ibadan. I felt like I was under a spell. I never wanted to do it. So, when we got there, I knew they were going to kill her. I had no idea they took their organs. I only heard that on the news, and that’s when I decided to go home.
James, one of the two herbalists detained in connection with the crime, revealed that he met the two dead people on November 2 at the house of his boss, Daramola.
“I went to my boss’s house and met Victor, a woman, and a little girl. Daramola, my boss, told me that Victor had been to an alfa before and that they had told him that his woman buddy had used his glory. So, they might kill his wife and child while he was there.
“So, my boss told me to kill them and then threatened me. We brought them to a bush and cut their necks with a knife. James remarked, “After that, we cut the woman into pieces.”
Daramola, who is said to have given the order for the killing, told our reporter that it was Fajemirokun who urged them to kill the victim, but he denied being there when the crime happened.
Osun Police Command CP Gotan said that Fajemirokun was reported missing on November 2 in Ikoyi, where he had gone to a mountain to pray.
“After that, on November 16, 2025, one Gboyega Daramola, also known as ‘Aberefa,’ was caught after an intelligence-led inquiry and careful analysis. He was determined to be a herbalist. When he was questioned, he strongly admitted that Fajemirokun Victor “m” was one of his customers. He also said that on November 2, 2025, Fajemirokun Victor “m” brought a mother and her daughter to him for a money ritual, and the subject had been killed. He also said that James “m,” Kehinde, and Idowu were among the killers on a Sunday.
Also, on Monday, November 17, 2025, the suspect Gboyega Daramola, also known as “Aberefa,” took the detectives to Esa-Odo Dam in Osun State, where the body of 38-year-old Lasisi Funmilayo Oluwamayokun, a senior officer in the Federal Road Safety Corp (FRSC) in Ogun State, was found.
After that, it was found and taken to the UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital Morgue for an autopsy. The CP added that some important portions of the body, like the head, breast, two hands, private areas, and others, were missing.
Gotan also said that on November 20, more reliable information led to the arrest of one of the main suspects named by the herbalist, Sunday James, who was hiding in Ekiti State.
He admitted under questioning that he was the one who killed both the mother and her daughter on the orders of his boss, herbalist Gboyega Daramola, also known as Aberefa. The two men that killed the body were Kehinde and Idowu.
“However, the suspect, Sunday James, helped the cops find the body of his daughter, Sewa Lasisi, in the bush where she was killed. Also missing were certain important bodily components, such the head, the two hands, and the feet. The body parts were also put in the morgue at UNIOSUN Teaching Hospital.
“However, it was learned that Fajemirokun Victor, who planned the murder, had run away from being captured. “With the help of Interpol, Victor Fajemirokun was caught in Ghana and sent back to Nigeria,” Gotan stated.
The CP said that those who committed the crime will be brought to court after the investigation was over. He also said that efforts would be stepped up to catch others who were involved in the crime but have not yet been apprehended.
