Mercy Eke, a reality TV star who won the fourth season of Big Brother Naija, has talked about why she is still unmarried.
Eke remarked in a recent podcast that she hasn’t found the right partner yet.
She said, “I haven’t seen what I want in a man.”
She stated she has a lot of men who want to marry her and could do so at any time.
She also talked about how and why she sees parenting, saying that she doesn’t mind having kids before being married.
Eke said that if she got pregnant by accident, she would keep the baby, even if she isn’t trying to get that to happen.
“I won’t go out of my way to get pregnant before I’m married.” “But if it just happens, I would leave it and have my baby,” she said.
She noted that the stigma normally targets women who are not financially stable, so she doesn’t think getting pregnant outside of marriage will damage her.
“I would still have kids even if I don’t get married…” Most people don’t know that the stigma of being a single mother only applies to women who are having a hard time.
Eke also talked about what she wants for her family in the future. She said she wants three kids, two girls and one boy, or three daughters because she loves girls.
She went on to say that many successful single mothers still get marriage proposals.
“The women [single mothers] who are breaking glassware, men are begging them to marry them. If I want to, I can get married tomorrow. So, I would still see a man even if I had a baby.
