The National Youth Service Corps has started checking the physical credentials and travel papers of Nigerian graduates who trained abroad and signed up for the 2025 Batch “C” Service Year.
NYSC stated in a statement on X yesterday that the event will take place from today, Monday, November 10, to Wednesday, November 12, 2025, in certain locations across the country.
The scheme said that the exercise is only for Prospective Corps Members whose documents have not yet been physically checked after they registered online.
The statement said that the verification centers were the NYSC Secretariat on 2 Abakaliki Road, GRA, Enugu; the Shadawanka Military Barracks in Bauchi; the NYSC Orientation Camp in Kubwa, Abuja; the Bukavu Military Barracks in Fagge, Airport Road, Kano; the NYSC Orientation Camp in Iyana Ipaja, Lagos; the NYSC Secretariat on New Ikirun Road, Osogbo; the NYSC Secretariat on 40 Ikwerre Road, Port Harcourt; the Eagle Officers Mess at the Gingiya Military Barracks on Gusau Road, Sokoto; and the NYSC Secretariat at the Federal Secretariat Complex in Yola.
The statement continued, “To keep things in order and avoid overcrowding, prospective Corps Members must strictly report on the date, time, and place listed on the verification slip.”
The Corps added that everyone who signed up must show the actual copies of their credentials and travel papers that they uploaded online.
It also said that “medical graduates should also upload Licenses, Registration Certificates, and other relevant documents issued by their various bodies, and they should also bring the originals to the verification centers.”
The NYSC also made it clear how to get formal recognition for people who got their qualifications outside of Nigeria.
The management said, “Original copies of Evaluation letters issued by the Federal Ministry of Education (if applicable) should be sent to the NYSC Headquarters in Abuja, and acknowledged copies should be uploaded online by the PCMs.”
The NYSC stressed how important the verification process was by saying that “only people who were physically seen with credentials, physically verified, and cleared would be deployed, exempted, or excluded from National Service.”
The Commission told all foreign-trained graduates who were involved to follow the rules exactly and show up at their assigned centers on time.
