Eight people who were thought to be armed robbers and cult members planning an operation in the Ikorodu area of Lagos were arrested by the Lagos State Police Command.
Some of the suspects who were caught were Nurudeen Dolapo, 27, Fadiya Ayodele, 28, Lawal Rasheed, 26, Akerele Demilare, 23, Alimi Victor, 25, Okiki Alufoge, 25, Agboola Samuel, and Ayolade Victor. They were all arrested during a planned raid in the Odogunyan area.
According to The Guardian, the Bullock Tactical Team broke into a criminal hideout around 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. The suspects were apparently planning bad things to do there.
Abimbola Adebisi, the Police Public Relations Officer, said that the suspects were caught with a Nigerian military camouflage outfit, a battle axe, an assault dagger, several charms, and fake $100 bills worth a total of $3,000.
Adebisi said that one of the suspects, Fadiya Ayodele, admitted to being the leader of the Eiye Confraternity in the area and giving a gun made in the area to someone named Adewunmi Annadex, who is now on the run.
Olohundare Jimoh, the commissioner of police for Lagos State, praised the agents for being professional and acting quickly. He made it clear again that the Command was dedicated to keeping everyone in Lagos State safe.
