Peter Mbah, the governor of Enugu State, has formally left the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).
He said this to the citizens of the state in a broadcast that went out to everyone in the state.
Channels TV reported that the governor defended his choice to switch camps by claiming it was necessary to link the South-Eastern state to the central administration.
Mbah also praised President Bola Tinubu’s initiatives, stating that the state has gotten a lot of help from the president.
After a lot of rumors and stories, the PDP governor, along with House of Assembly members, councilors, chairmen of councils, and others, switched to the ruling party.
