A neighbor tells a scary story
A man named Sani Yusuf, who says he lives next door to Sommie, has revealed his story of the robbery on X, which has added a fresh twist.
Sani said that he lives in the same block as the late broadcaster and was the first person the armed robbers attacked.
He wrote in a scary post:
“This happened in the street where I reside. I was the first person to be attacked. Man, right in the middle of Abuja. I don’t want anyone to go through what I saw. I’ll tell you more when I’m ready. For now, may the souls of the dead rest in peace.
He also said that a security guard named Barnabas tried to stop the thieves but got hurt and died later.
“We must not forget Barnabas, our armed security officer, who tried to stop the attackers but was shot in the process. I took him to the hospital myself, but I saw him die hours later from blood loss. He further said, “He leaves behind a small family with one child.”
His disclosure got a lot of different comments online, and many people are now eagerly waiting for him to give a full description of what happened during the scary event.

“I’m so sorry to hear this, my brother.” May God grant you strength and tranquility. “It’s so hard for me to deal with.”
@UdyHighs:
“I was robbed twice, and the experience still affects me now. I can’t sleep and I’m always worried when it gets to 1am. No one should have to go through it, let alone be killed.
@AsiyaRodrigo:
“Subhanallah, Sani.” I am so sorry! I’m really scared this happened to you. As someone who has been robbed at gunpoint in Nigeria, you have all my heart right now.
@honesguyz:
“I’m so sorry to hear this, Sani. If the government can’t even protect the capital of the country, I don’t know what we can expect from them.” This feeling of being unsafe is too much.
