The federal government is going to charge human rights activist Omoyele Sowore with five counts of creating false posts about President Bola Tinubu in order to cause law and order to break down.
Channels TV said that Sowore was seen at the Federal High Court in Abuja today.
The charges include X. Incorporation and Meta (Facebook) as two other defendants.
He was accused of making an offensive post on his official X handle.
The post in question, which is stated to have broken Section 24(2) (b) of the Cybercrimes Prohibition and Prevention Act 2024, was said to have been made on August 25 in the Federal High Court’s jurisdiction.
