The second edition of the Aba International Trade Fair will take place from November 28 to December 7, 2025. The Abia State government has said that the 10-day fair will show off the creativity of the people of Aba and the city’s readiness to become a potential commercial hub in Africa.
Engr. Ikechukwu Emetu, the deputy governor of the state, said at an international news conference in Umuahia today. He added that the fair, which is called “Sustaining the Momentum, Unlocking Abia’s Economic Potentials,” would draw many local and foreign exhibitors.
Daily Independent says that he said the state government is working with the Aba Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (ACCIMA) and the Umuahia Chamber of Commerce, Industry, Mines, and Agriculture (UCCIMA) to put on the fair.
The deputy governor said that the event will take place at the trade fair site in Osisioma, which is on the outskirts of Aba.
He said that there would be enough publicity to let exhibitors, clients, and other people in the industry know about the event’s possible benefits. He also said that the event would give the two chambers of commerce in Aba and Umuahia a chance to meet and talk with their counterparts from outside the state and Nigeria.
“We’ll have a proper handshake with exhibitors, manufacturers, and businesspeople from outside the state, including those who live in the outback, to get the word out about the event. He said, “We all know that our friendly governor, Dr. Alex Otti, is good with the media, so the media will be treated well.”
