Vladimir Putin and Narendra Modi walked hand in hand to meet Xi Jinping at a big meeting in China where they talked about setting up a new world order and standing up to the West.
Xi hosted more than 20 non-Western leaders at the Shanghai Cooperation Organization conference in Tianjin. The Russian president and Indian prime minister smiled as they walked in.
The summit was advertised as a different way to run the world than the one headed by the US, and there were a lot of signs of solidarity between Moscow, Beijing, and Delhi.
Later, the three leaders were seen laughing together in a huddle, which seemed like a show of support for each other against Washington and its supporters.
After the summit, Modi posted a picture of himself with Putin in the president’s armored car. It said, “It’s always a pleasure to meet President Putin.” Talking to him constantly gives me new ideas.
Modi informed Putin during their meetings, “India and Russia have always walked shoulder to shoulder, even in the toughest times.”
Putin replied in a friendly way, stating in Russian, “Dear Mr. Prime Minister, dear friend.” For decades, Russia and India have had special, amicable, and trusting ties.
Xi launched the meeting with a direct attack on the US’s tariff policy, saying, “We must continue to take a clear stand against hegemonism and power politics, and practice true multilateralism.”
When Vladimir Putin and Narendra Modi got to see Xi Jinping, they held hands.

The two smiled as they walked in for the ceremony.
The three leaders were later seen laughing together in a group.
Modi posted a picture of himself with Putin in the Kremlin chief’s armored Aurus sedan.
He told leaders to “oppose Cold War mentality and bloc confrontation” and to “stand against hegemonism and power politics.”
He went on to say, “Global governance has reached a new crossroads.” He then promised billions in loans and aid to member governments and announced plans for an artificial intelligence cooperation center and a collaborative lunar research station.
Xi announced that through a SCO banking consortium, China would give member states 2 billion yuan in free aid and 10 billion yuan in loans.
The Chinese leader also hinted at forming a new SCO development bank. This may make the US dollar less important and make it harder for Washington to implement sanction
