Just In : Many fear dead in new Fulani herdsmen attack on Benue community
Following an attack by suspected Fulani herdsmen on the Adijah community in Ugbokpo, Apa Local Government Area, Benue State, numerous people are thought to be dead and numerous others injured.
According to The Nation, residents have fled to nearby villages as a result of the incident, which is said to have occurred this afternoon.
A few kilometres from the Otukpo-Oweto Road, the village was reportedly overrun by the attackers, who then opened fire on the villagers, killing an unknown number of them.
At the time this report was filed, the exact number of casualties was unknown.
