Ogun pastor is detained by police for defiling minor.

A pastor from the Mega World Healing Ministry, Clinton John, has been taken into custody by men from the Ogun State Police Command in the Ifo Local Government Area of the state on charges of defiling a sixteen-year-old girl.

In a statement released on Saturday night, SP Omolola Odutola, the public relations officer for the state police, claimed that John had unlawful carnal knowledge of the girl since 2022, when she was just 14 years old.

According to Odutola, the victim informed the police that the 43-year-old Pastor had consistently threatened to kill her if she ever told anyone about the shady relationship.

According to her, the victim’s family suspected that their daughter may have been sexually assaulted after receiving treatment for reoccurring infections.

The victim’s frightening behaviours, the police chief claimed, led the parents to suspect that their daughter had engaged in sexual activity while hiding her identity.

A family in Giwa Agbado, Ogun State, reported a case of alleged defilement to the Agbado divisional Police Station. The 16-year-old daughter had been treated for recurrent infections on multiple occasions, and she had shown frightening behaviours that led the parents to suspect that she may have had sex with someone while hiding their identity.

The parents convinced their daughter, who subsequently confessed that one Pastor Clinton John ‘m’ aged 43 years old of Mega World Healing Ministry has been fiercely having unlawful carnal knowledge of her since November of 2022.

 

“The 16-year-old daughter further stated that the Pastor threatened to kill her if she ever revealed the cagey affair to anyone.

“The suspect on interrogation has confessed to the crime and admitted that time after time he had unlawful carnal knowledge of the 16-year-old. The victim has been issued with medical forms for treatment and examination.

“Pastor Clinton Oscar will be transferred to the State Criminal Investigation Department Eleweran for discreet investigation.”
