Pastor sobs as he tells of how his daughter was molested and pregnant by a tenant.

While telling the story of how his renter, one Godwin, violated and impregnated his 16-year-old daughter, the pastor of a new generation church in the Ajangbadi region of Lagos State burst into tears.

According to Daily Trust, the pastor recounted the incident in court for sexual offences and domestic violence in Ikeja.

The pastor claims that the alleged offender began defiling his daughter in April of 2021 and did not stop until June, when she became pregnant.

To make matters worse, the pastor claimed, the accused’s nursing wife had given his daughter contraceptives to conceal the crime.

According to the pastor, he has known the defendant for almost four years. My daughter told me that he was the one who got her pregnant in 2021 and that they had been having sexual relations ever since.

My daughter verified that he had been sleeping with her for a long time, so I filed a report with the Area K Police Command in Badagry.

My daughter carried the pregnancy to term and had a healthy baby girl.

The defence attorney, Mr. Victor Edet, questioned the pastor in an attempt to get more information about the incident.

My daughter became pregnant and I believed it was the defendant, so I had Godwin Emmanuel’s nursing wife give her medicines to induce an abortion.

When the police failed to act on his claim, he stated he went to the Domestic and Sexual Violence Agency and a hospital instead.

Justice Abiola Soladoye, who is presiding over the case, has postponed further proceedings until December 11.
