Nollywood divaTonto Dikeh joins APC
Tonto Dikeh, a well-known star in Nigeria’s film industry, has joined the All Progressives Congress (APC).
According to Nigerian Tribune, the actress has formally joined the APC after running as the African Democratic Congress’s (ADC) deputy governorship candidate in Rivers State’s gubernatorial election in 2023.
At the APC National Secretariat in Abuja, she was officially welcomed into the party by Dr. Mary Alile, the party’s National Women Leader.
The ruling party’s official Twitter feed confirmed the news.
The party announced Tonto Dikeh’s membership in the APC with the title “Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh joins APC” and photos from the event. African Democratic Congress National Women Leader Dr. Mary Alile and Deputy National Publicity Secretary Hon. Duro Meseko revealed their Rivers State 2023 deputy governorship candidate Tonto Dikeh at the Party’s HQ.
