Assitant Police Commissioner dies in his sleep

ACP Oluseye Odunmbaku, an assistant commissioner of police in Bayelsa State, was found dead in his bed at his home in Yenagoa.

The state command has confirmed that Odunmbaku died suddenly. He was the head of the Department of Operations.

Yesterday, October 17, the police department’s spokesman, CSP Asinim Butswat, confirmed the news but did not elaborate on the circumstances surrounding the officer’s death.

Butswat issued a brief statement lamenting the loss of ACP Oluseye Odunmbaku, saying, “The State Police Command regrets to announce the death of ACP Oluseye Odunmbaku, until his death, he was the Assistant Commissioner of Police, Department of Operations.”
