Abia Streets No Longer Smelly – Dame Patience Jonathan
FORMER First Lady of Nigeria, Dame Patience Jonathan, has stated that the air quality in Abia State is much improved that its no longer smelly since this new government came in.
On Thursday, while visiting Governor Alex Otti in Nvosi, Isiala Ngwa South LGA, Mrs. Jonathan made these remarks.
She claimed she was in Abia to celebrate her maternal ancestry and to offer her congratulations on Otti’s election victory.
The former First Lady of Abia claims that before Otti’s administration, the city’s streets were filthy and stank. She continued by saying the new governor had gotten rid of the stench that had settled over the state’s streets.
To the governor of Abia, Jonathan said, “This is my home, and I have come to visit my brother, my governor, in whom I am well pleased.” Jonathan was effusive in his praise of the governor’s performance thus far in office. He has become my guide and teacher. He stood by me like a brother while I was in office. I’ve come to offer my wisdom and encouragement, and to congratulate him on his accomplishments.
Our roots are in Abia. I am available to him whenever he needs me, day or night. He is doing splendidly. He’s off to a great start, and I have no doubt he’ll succeed. It’s clear that Abia State is clean once more. The construction of the new road is plainly visible. As you travel around, you’ll notice that the air is clean and fresh. That’s why I’m congratulating him in person.
Governor Alex Otti replied by thanking the former First Lady for her visit and insight, and prayed for God’s blessing on her and her husband, Goodluck Jonathan.
