Lagos fifth best African city to work and live
According to a 2023 study by Brand Finance City, Lagos ranks as the fifth best African city where people want to live, work, and invest.
Out of the top four African cities, Lagos is 56.7 percent less popular than Cape Town (South Africa), Cairo (Egypt), Johannesburg (South Africa), and Casablanca (Morocco).Cape Town, Cairo, Johannesburg, Casablanca, Lagos, and Nairobi are the only six African cities in the top 100 worldwide. These cities are ranked 60, 67, 72, 76, 90, and 94, respectively.
According to the rating, London, England has the best city brand in the world, earning an impressive 84.6%. New York, USA and Paris, France come in second and third, earning 83.0% and 79.7%, respectively.
In the report, it was stated that “The ranking is based on a global survey of close to 15,000 members of the public conducted in April 2023 in 20 countries on all continents to measure perceptions of the world’s top 100 cities.”
