Breaking : Nasir El’Rufai bows out of Ministerial Normination

1

Nasir El-Rufai, a former governor of Kaduna State, has decided against accepting a position in President Bola Tinubu’s cabinet.

El-Rufai had previously indicated his openness to working with Mr. Tinubu on power matters during his confirmation hearing.

TNT reports that in a recent meeting with President Tinubu, El-Rufai announced his resignation from the position of minister.

He reportedly reaffirmed his intention to make a positive private citizen contribution to Nigeria’s progress.

El-Rufai mentioned that he is currently enrolled in a doctoral programme in the Netherlands as part of his justification.

As a result, he proposed Jafaru Ibrahim Sani of Kaduna State as a replacement ministerial candidate. El-Rufai reassured the President that Sani’s knowledge and ingenuity could prove invaluable.

During El-Rufai’s time as governor, he appointed Jafaru Ibrahim Sani to serve as a commissioner in three important ministries: local government, education, and the environment. El-Rufai now proposes Sani as his nominee for the position.

  1. An interesting discussion is worth comment. I think that you should write more on this topic, it might not be a taboo subject but generally people are not enough to speak on such topics. To the next. Cheers
