On Monday, unidentified thugs set fire to the home of renowned political singer Dauda Kahutu Rarara.

The incident occurred less than an hour after the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) declared the winner of the state’s governorship election.

Rarara is an All Progressives Congress (APC) music artiste who has performed at numerous rallies.

According to reports, the arsonists broke into Rara’s home and began destroying valuables before setting fire to it.

However, security agents arrived on the scene minutes after the house was set on fire to disperse the hoodlums, but firefighters have yet to arrive as of the time of filing this report.

INEC had previously announced Abba Yusuf of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) as Kano’s Governor-elect.
