PDP deputy national chairman under fire over comment on Ladoja
The Deputy National Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, (PDP) Ambassador Taofeek Arapaja has come under severe attacks over an alleged disparaging comment on Otun Olubadan and former governor of Oyo, Chief Rasheed Ladoja.
The Mogajis of Ibadanland were quoted in a communique jointly signed by Mogaji Mukthar Adewale Gbadeyanka Mogaji Adeipo, Mogaji Patrick Kayode Ogunsola Mogaji Anisere described the outburst of Arapaja on an Ibadan based radio station as uncalled for.
The Compound heads noted with dismay the disparaging comment of Arapaja on the highly referred Otun Olubadan, describing it as an insult to the entire Olubadan in Council.
Ambassador Arapaja, according to them should desist from using the names of Ibadanland Chieftancy holders to gain political prominence.
Olubadan-in-Council is non partisan. It is father to all aspirants from Ibadanland. It is wrong on the part of any politician to drag any of its members in the mud of the nation”s murky politics.
The communique read, The deputy National Chairman South of PDP lost his polling booth, ward and local government woefully.
“If he wants to step up his politics and believe he can drag the name of Otun Olubadan in the mud, simply because he wants to use Otun Olubadans name to achieve his heart desires from Gov Seyi Makinde
He should be prepared to go into war with the Ibadan Mogajis, Ibadan Chiefs and the entire Ibadan Indigenes.
