We won the elections, we’re ready to reclaim our mandate – Peter Obi vows
The presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Mr Peter Obi, has said that his party won the presidential and National Assembly elections held on Saturday February 25, 2023.
He said this during a world press conference going on now in Abuja.
According to Obi, his party is ready to explore all legal and peaceful means to reclaim his mandate.
“It’s a shame that after 63 years of Independence, Nigeria cannot conduct fair and free elections. As we know, destruction of a society begins gradually when we act rascally by going against the rule of law,” he said.
“Nigerians on February 25 trouped out to vote in a supposedly free and fair elections. I hereby express gratitude to God and those Nigerians, especially the Youths, who worked hard towards a new Nigeria through me. I thank them and want to assure them that a new Nigeria is possible, and I’m committed to achieving that new Nigeria”
“I can imagine how Nigerians are feeling right now, but I want to tell you not to despair, a new Nigeria is indeed possible”
“I want to appeal to all Nigerians to conduct themselves in a peaceful manner in this journey towards achieving a new Nigeria. Datti and I are committed to this new Nigeria.”
“We are set to prove to the world that we won the elections. Meanwhile, please let us continue with that same spirit by coming out on Saturday March 11 for the governorship and state houses of assembly elections. We must reclaim our mandate,” he said.
