On Wednesday, the President proposed a 2022 supplementary Appropriation Bill to the sum of N819.5 billion to the Senate.
In a letter read by Senate President Ahmad Lawan to the house, the President defended his proposal in that the money is meant to complete ongoing capital projects.
These include roads and dams destroyed by flooding.
He added that the sum would be sourced from additional domestic borrowings.
