Looted funds to the sum of $1bn recovered

On Wednesday The federal government said the sum of $1billion had been recovered during the course of Buhari’s Administration. .

While briefing State House reporters after the Federal Executive Council (FEC). Abubakar Malami, The Attorney General of the Federation and Minister of Justice, stated this meeting presided over by the President at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.

He also went on to inform the public that the recovered assets had been deployed to various sectors of the economy including poverty alleviation.

The Minister said that FEC had approved a new Anti-corruption Strategy Document to strengthen anti-graft fight in the country.

Malami, who expressed government’s concern over cases of budget padding, described the development as worrisome.

He said every necessary measure would be explored to address it.
