After harsh criticisms, especially  on social media. The Labour Party has concured to review the list of its presidential campaign council

The response was given in a tweet on Friday, where Peter Obi, Presidential Candidate of the party pleaded for patience over the reactions that trailed the list.

“I’ve received several calls of concern following the release of the Labour Party’s Presidential Campaign Council list. Admittedly, there were some omissions and erroneous entries in the list, hence the concerns expressed.

“In response, the Labour Party Chairman in the presence of members of the NWC addressed the issues during a press conference. In keeping with our commitment to accountability, responsiveness and transparency, an updated list will be issued in due course. I plead for patience. -PO,” he wrote.

The party was criticized following the release of its 1,234-man Obi-Datti campaign team on Wednesday.

There was uproar over the alleged inclusion of John Eneche, a retired army general and defence spokesman.

Enenche, who made the team as a member of the PAC from the North-Central, had claimed that the killing of #EndSARS protesters in at Lekki Toll Gate, Lagos was false.

The ex-General had reportedly claimed that the Instagram live footage of DJ Switch, which showed #EndSARS protesters dying from bullets of soldiers from the Nigerian Army was photoshopped.
