Lagos operatives arrest three suspects and recover live cartridges, other stolen property
On Saturday the Lagos State Police command said its operatives arrested three suspects at Poromope Estate, Ijede road in the Ikorodu part of the state.
Suspects identified as Tukur Abdullah, Muazu Telim, and Dahiru Idris, were caught with two buses, an undisclosed number of live cartridges, three dismantled motorcycles, phones, and many others.
the trio as it were, were on their way to Katsina State when operatives from the Ikorodu Division suddenly intercepted them, leading to their arrests.
The spokesperson for the state police’s command, Benjamin Hundeyin, revealed in a statement on Saturday that the suspects had been transferred to the headquarters in Ikeja, for further investigations.
Hundeyin said, “Operatives of Ikorodu Division of the Lagos State Police Command have intercepted two commercial buses loaded with large quantities of live cartridges, three dismantled motorcycles and some personal effects at Poromope Estate, Ijede Road, Ikorodu, Lagos State. Preliminary investigations indicate that the suspects, Tukur Abdullah ‘m’ aged 35, Muazu Telim ‘m’ aged 50 and Dahiru Idris ‘m’aged 36 were on their way to Katsina State.
“The suspects, recovered exhibits as well as the vehicles, with registration numbers KMC 438 YK and KMC 394 XF have been transferred to the Lagos State Command Headquarters, Ikeja for further investigations.”
