Rotary Club, Ikeja-Alausa Central installs President, BoD July 30

The Rotary Club of Ikeja-Alausa Central would on Saturday, July 30, 2022 install its new  President and Board of Directors. The investiture ceremony has been slated to hold at Lagos Airport Hotel by 11 a.m.

Public Image Chair/Vice President, Rotary Club of Ikeja-Alausa Central, Rotarian Muyiwa Akintunde, in a statement, described that the July 2022 to June 2023 Rotary year as that of women.

The statement reads: “In a year in which women in Rotary are breaking the glass ceiling, the club will be installing its first female President, Rotarian (Mrs) Adebukunola Soile-Balogun. This Rotary year (1st July 2022 to 30th June 2023), Rotary International produced Rotarian Jennifer Jones as President, while Rotarian Omotunde Lawson is the Governor of Rotary International District 9110, covering all clubs in Lagos and Ogun States.

“The club Directors who will be unveiled include the President-elect, Rotarian Olayinka Patunola-Ajayi; the Vice President, who is also Public Image Chair, Rotarian Muyiwa Akintunde; Secretary, Rotarian Vincent Isaac; Treasurer, Rotarian Remilekun Bada and Club Administrator, Rotarian Tolulope Ajimotokan.

“Others include Membership Chair, Rotarian Adeyemi Oguntirin; Rotary Foundation Chair, Rotarian Ayoku Banjoko Safatmaruwa; Service Project Chair, Rotarian Busayo Akomolafe; Youth Service Chair, Rotarian Abiodun Sonuga; History and Archives Chair, Rotarian Charity Uzochi; Immediate Past President, Rotarian Deji Shonuga and Sergeant-at-Arms, Rotarian Omoja Abimaje.

“The event will be presided over by Mr Bamidele Samuel Ajibare (well known as Bigsam), OmegaPro Management Executive. In March, Ajibare and his wife, Gift achieved the Black Diamond feat with Omegapro in what was described as a ‘record breaking feat.’”

“Oba Abdulrazaq Adesina Adenugba, the Ebumawe of Ago-Iwoye, Ogun State is the Royal Father of the Day, while Past Assistant Governor, Rotarian Wale Adegbite is the Guest Speaker.

“Rotary Club of Ikeja-Alausa Central was chartered by Rotary International on 23rd March, 2021, with Rotarian Shonuga as its Charter President.

“The Investiture ceremony will serve as a fund-raiser enabling the club to generate the fund to execute more projects in addition to what it did in its foundation year.”
