Police arrest suspected drug barons, cultists in Delta
The Police Crack Surveillance Operatives, Friday, raided a criminal hideout in Okwagbe community, Isoko North Council of Delta State and arrested three suspected drug barons with 105 wraps of SK weeds.
The suspects include 32-year-old Alex Johnholt; a 25-year-old Abe Ujiro (female) and Omoro Joy (26), also a female. The State Police spokesman, Mr. Bright Edafe, who confirmed the arrest to journalists in Asaba, the state capital, said six wraps of loud; 16 wraps of substance suspected to be cocaine; four wraps of Indian hemp, four litres of monkey tail; 60 packs of razlers and one Indian hemp grinding device were recovered from them.
According to him, the suspects would be arraigned as soon as investigation is concluded.
The police image maker also hinted that the operatives attached to Bomadi Divisional Patrol team, while on routine stop and search duty along Bomadi/Oboro road, intercepted a motorcycle rider carrying three passengers, saying that the team subjected them to a search and found one English Pistol on one of the passengers, Destiny Ebibo (22) of Oboro community, who lives in Abraka.
Edafe also said one red beret suspected to be of the Icelanders confraternity was recovered from the other suspect, George Terrence (22) of Okpokunou community, adding that they have been taken into custody as investigation into their matter continued.(The Guardian)
