“How I miraculously escaped Dana air crash — Kate Henshaw
Ten years after, actress Kate Henshaw has recalled how she escaped the Dana Air crash that killed all passengers on board in Ishaga, Lagos.
She said she missed board the flight from Abuja because of God’s mercy.
Sharing a photo which shows her in a mood of reverence, the 50-year-old star actress wrote: “Today marks 10years since the ill-fated Dana Air Flight took off from Abuja to Lagos.. 3rd June, 2012. Flight 0992. No one survived… I was to be on that flight.
“I arrived at the airport in Abuja late. Anyone who knows me knows I am never late for anything…
“MERCY said no that day. For His goodness and mercy shall follow me, all the days of my life. Not that I am worthy but He kept me from the claws of death that day,” she wrote.
Hammering on why individuals should always share their experiences of divine intervention. She said: “It is important to tell of God’s goodness, it will help someone out there. It will remind you of how You are the apple of His eye and it will keep you grateful..Keep you grounded.”
Remembering the 159 people that died on the flight, Henshaw added: “May the souls of all the departed continue to rest in peace. Amen Have a blessed weekend my lovelies. #GratefulHeart #Happychild #GraceChild #positiveenergyzone #positivevibesonly #Unstoppable.”
On Sunday, June 3, 2012, a Dana Airline McDonnell Douglas MD-83 aircraft serving the route suffered a dual-engine failure during its approach to Lagos.
It failed to reach its intended destination and crashed onto buildings, killing all 153 people on board and six on the ground in the Iju Ishaga area of the state.
