Tears flow family of five perishes in Ondo auto crash

A family of five has been killed in a lone accident in Akure, the Ondo State capital.

A yet-to-be-identified taxi driver, his wife and three children, were crushed to death in the accident which occurred around 10pm at Oluwatuyi area, Ijoka in Akure metropolis.

Witnesses said the driver rammed into a heavy duty tractor parked by the side of the road currently under construction.

The witnesses said all members of the family died on the spot.

They were said to be returning from Shoprite.

A commercial driver, who pleaded anonymity, said the driver should have been able to see the heavy duty truck parked by the side of the road.

The corpses were said to have been deposited in a mortuary. (The Nation)
