Gunmen on rampage in Anambra; kill 7, attack police station, set vehicles ablaze

After killing seven persons in three locations yesterday in Anambra, gunmen killed another four in two other locations in the state.

They attacked a police station in Anaku in Ayamelum Local Government Area and set vehicles ablaze.

The killings happened at Ogbunike, Oyi Local Government Area.

 It was gathered that the gunmen invaded a cow market in the place.

One other person was killed in Peter Obi’s Agulu community in Anaocha Local Government Area, where a patrol van was also set ablaze.

Police spokesman, Ikenga Tochukwu, declined comments.

But another police source confirmed the Anaku incident. (The Nation )
