PDP reschedules Anambra Congress over sit-at-home order
There’s is confusion in the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in Anambra following the postponement of the Assembly and National Assembly Congresses over sit-at-home by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB).
IPOB issued warnings to residents to stay at home Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday because of their leader, Nnamdi Kanu’s trial.
But IOPB’s National Publicity Secretary, Emma Powerful, said the orders were not from their members.
He confirmed the exercise would be on Wednesday, May 26 because Kanu would appear in Court then, adding that Monday sit-at-home had been stopped
But the PDP shifted the House of Assembly Congress originally scheduled for Wednesday to Thursday while the National Assembly Congress originally slated for Friday would take place on Saturday. (The Nation)
