NPC organises capacity-building workshop for journalists

A three-day capacity-building workshop being organised for journalists by the National Population Commission (NPC) would commence on Monday, May 9, 2022.

The workshop, for accredited journalists, is in preparation for the 2023 population and housing census. It will hold at Jemmyland Hotel, Sani Abacha Road, New Karu, Nassarawa State and ends on Wednesday, May 13, 2022.

The NPC leadership under the Chairman, Nasir Isa Kwarra, would engage journalists with the theme “Getting The People Involved”.

The workshop is geared towards equipping the participants with necessary knowledge and skills for effective coverage and reportage of the 2023 exercise, according to a statement by the Acting Director, Public Affairs Department of the commission, Dr Isiaka Yahaya.

The NPC Chairman, Kwarra, is expected to declare the workshop open.
