The former head coach to Heartland Fc Owerri, Mr Fidelis Ilechukwu has again cried out over his eight months of unpaid salaries owed to him by the management of Heartland Football Club of Owerri.

The Plateau United FC coach while speaking with the Sportswriters in Owerri on Thursday shortly after their 1-0 away defeat by the hosting Heartland FC, Owerri regretted that he was owed for several months by the club and no effort has been made to pay him.

He said: “I talked about it last time and the club defended themselves by telling me to channel my demand officially”

The coach lamented that he has written to Heartland Management three times yet without any reply describing such action as pure wickedness.

He said, “that the management may think they are smart and have all it takes to do what they are doing, but they don’t.”

The former Heartland Head coach said that he values human relationships so much and that is why he does not want to take the matter to FIFA.

He said that many people will certainly lose their jobs if he eventually takes the matter to the highest football ruling body in the world FIFA.

In his reaction to the outcome of the match between his team Plateau United and his former club Heartland FC Owerri, Ilechukwu praised Heartland players for putting up a good performance.

He said that if the team continues in the way they played out, they would go high in the ongoing NPFL and other tournaments in the country.

It will be recalled that the Heartland Fc of Owerri was owing to the former Head Coach for almost 8 months before he left the team. (Nigerian Tribune)
