Tears as Terrorists set 80-year-old man ablaze during attack in Niger

Terrorists, who invaded Zazzaga community in Munya local government area of Niger State, have set an 80-year-old man ablaze.

The octogenarian, whose name is yet disclosed, was burnt alive when the terrorists razed houses in the community after they met an empty community.

Residents were said to have fled the community into the bush, leaving the old man alone in his house.

The terrorists looted shops and houses before they proceeded to Sohon Kabula and Mangoro communities.

They have raided 15 communities across three local government areas of Shiroro, Munya and Paikoro in the last 48 hours.

The terrorists were said to have been riding on motorcycles and carrying sophisticated weapons.

The gunmen attacked Kusasu and Chukuba communities in Shiroro local government area, later moved to Chibani where over 30 people were abducted while a man identified as Umoru shot when he tried to escape.

The terrorists looted shops and burnt houses in the communities they invaded.

It was learnt that another attack occurred on Monday around 4 pm when the terrorists invaded Aboloso, Kudamin and Dakolo in Kafin Koro district of Paikoro local government area.

The Commissioner for Local Government and Internal Security, Emmanuel Umar, when contacted said a statement would be issued regarding the latest attacks. (The Nation)
