NDLEA nabs 20-year-old boy with 16 bags of weed in Imo

The officers of the National Drugs Law Enforcement Agency NDLEA, Imo State Command has arrested a 20-year-old boy Bright Mbamara with 16 bags and a loose quantity of dried weeds substance suspected to be Cannabis Sativa weighing 219.650kg.

In a statement issued in Owerri Monday by the Assistant Commandant Narcotics and Principle Staff Officer, Media and Advocacy NDLEA, Imo State Command Mr Lamuwa Shehu said that the operatives of the command arrested the suspect.

Shehu said that Mbamara the suspect was found in his family compound of Umueli Amaraku, Ikeduru LGA, Imo state.

He said that both the suspect and exhibit is already in the custody of the NDLEA, Imo state Command Owerri Office undergoing investigation.

The State Commander NDLEA Imo State Command, Ruben Apeh in his comment charged parents to look after their wards to avoid being lured into the unwanted path.

He said: “a 20-year-old chap, should ordinarily be in school and not in the ghettos selling hard drugs”.

The Commander said that the suspect will soon be made to face the full wrath of the law.
