2023: Why I sang at Atiku’s presidential declaration — Timi Dakolo

Nigerian singer and songwriter, Timi Dakolo, has revealed why he performed on Wednesday at the presidential declaration of the former Vice President Abubakar Atiku.

It will be recalled that Atiku officially declared his interest to contest for the office of the President in 2023 at the event today, which Dakolo graced and sang his popular ‘Unity Song”.

However, Dakolo disclosed his intention after a call out by a critic, @olaolu_thaniel on social media who wrote, “Hunger is a real Bastard!!! They have started singing in political rallies ohhh. @timidakolo is live at Abuja international conference center singing and endorsing PDP’s Atiku.”

The singer responded by saying, “I will sing and collect bread my Guy, if it pains you well well, go sing your own.” (Daily Independent)
