‘I’ll kill Nnamdi Kanu in court with my hands’ – Asari Dokubo
Asari Dakubo, the former leader of the defunct Movement for the Emancipation of the Niger-Delta on Tuesday threatened to kill the leader of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, with his bare hands even with the presence of the Nigerian security agencies.
Speaking in a viral video shared on his Facebook page, Dakubo, who is a strong critic of Kanu, vowed to deal with the IPOB leader.
Dakubo issued the threat while dismissing the news reports that some members of the outlawed group had beaten him up.
Reacting to the claims as falsehood, he said the day such happens, he will practically go to court and eliminate the IPOB leader personally.
He said, “You can think o, You can talk, but the day you attempt all these your lies that you are lying, I will practically go and kill Nnamdi Kanu even in the court, even with Nigerian Military and all the Nigerian security agencies around.
“I will not send anybody, I will practically go there and kill him with my own hands,” he threatened.
For months, Dokubo, a former warlord, has been engaged in a battle with IPOB militants. Previously an ally, he lost out with Kanu over allegations of N20 million embezzlement. He also admitted to assassinating members of the gang.
It could be recalled that Kanu is facing charges bordering on terrorism before Justice Binta Nyako-led Federal High Court, Abuja. (Daily Independent)
