APC Convention: North-West Governors in crucial meeting
All Progressives Congress Governors from the North West held a closed-door meeting, on Tuesday, ahead of the party national convention.
The meeting which lasted for over three hours was held at the Kebbi Governor’s Lodge Asokoro, Abuja.
In attendance were Nasir El Rufai, Abdullahi Ganduje, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar, Bello Muhammad Matawalle, governors of Kaduna, Kano, Jigawa and Zamfara states, respectively.
Also present were Katsina State governor, Aminu Masari, and the host governor, who incidentally is the Chairman of All Progressives Governors Forum, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu.
Governor Bagudu refused to talk to newsmen at the end of the meeting.
Katsina State governor who is the Chairman of North West Governors Forum said it was a private meeting.
He said: “We had a private meeting. Do you want us to tell you, what we discussed in private?”
