A female student of the University of Lagos (UNILAG), is currently trending on social media over her remarks concerning the ongoing ASUU strike.

It may be recalled that the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) on Monday, February 14, 2022 declared a one-month roll over warning strike.

When asked, in a video interview, how she feels about the strike, the UNILAG undergraduate said she was happy about it.

“I’m happy, it’s good news,” she replied.

She explained that she was into photography and the strike would give her ample time to focus on her passion.

She added that no one was serious about school in Nigeria anymore, not even the government, and as a result, young people have to find other things beside school to keep themselves busy.

“Obviously, no one is serious with school in this country, including the government themselves. So, you just have to find something going on for yourself, something that works for you, and school is not it,” she said.
