Niger governor’s brother leaves APC, joins PDP

Aminu, the younger brother of Niger Governor Abubakar Sani-Bello, has left the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

He joined the PDP with some politicians in Niger North Senatorial District.

Among those who defected with him was an APC chieftain, Abubakar Buhari.

The development took place days after the PDP received over 2,000 defectors from the APC in Bosso local government area.

The governor’s brother, who is from Kontagora Central ward and the other defector, obtained their PDP membership cards presented by the ward chairman of Kontagora Central Ward, Umar Hassan.

Presenting the PDP membership cards to the new members, Hassan said that they did the right thing to join the PDP, adding the party would not disappoint them.

The Niger North zonal chairman, Yahaya Abdullahi welcomed Aminu, Buhari and their followers, charging them to work towards PDP’s development and success. (The Nation)
