The Police Command in Enugu State has appealed to residents of Enugu State to help the command reunite two female children found roaming and wandering within Enugu metropolis, with their families.

The Command’s Public Relations Officer, ASP Daniel Ndukwe, made the plea in a statement made available to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) on Monday in Enugu.

“The general public, particularly residents of Enugu State, are hereby informed that a Good Samaritan brought to Central Police Station (CPS) Enugu, two female children aged about six and three years respectively.

“They were found wandering and crying along Okpara Avenue within Enugu metropolis.

“The children, who are suspected to be siblings, gave their names as Amanda and Chioma (surname unknown) respectively; while Amanda, the older of the two, mentioned the name of their mother as Ifunnaya, who sells food,” Ndukwe said.

The police spokesman noted that all efforts so far made to locate the parents or relatives of the children for identification and claim proved abortive.

“Anyone who can identify or assist the police to locate and reunite the children with their family is hereby enjoined to visit the Central Police Station (CPS) Enugu or call 08068820580,” he added. (NAN)
